Frequently Asked Questions

1- Are the teachers qualified to teach Spanish?

Yes, we have our qualifications in teaching our mother tongue.

2- How can I know my Spanish level?

You will necessarily do a written assessment test and we will call you to test your speaking level as well.

3- How long will it take me to speak Spanish?

This is hard to answer because every person is different and it also depends on the personal work at home.  You’ll be able to communicate with people regarding basic topics, such as introducing yourself and ask and answer about you and people’s life

4- When can I start the course?

You can start a course at a certain date (the dates will be updated on our website). You will have different times available so you can choose the one which fits you best.

If you choose customized lessons, you can decide when to start.

5- What will happen if there are holidays during my course?

Obviously, if there is a national day off, that day doesn’t count and we will add one lesson at the end of the course.

6- What if I miss a lesson?

You can have 30 minutes for free as a catch up in order to review what we saw on the lesson you missed. If you miss more than one lesson and you want to have a 30 minutes catch up lesson, after the first one, you will need to pay some extra money.

7- What if I cancel a course?

In iBlamos we will give you a full refund if the notice has been made 15 days before the course starts. If the cancellation is made with less than 15 days in advance, there won’t be a refund.

What does the price include?

The price includes the tutoring and some digital material (whenever the student needs to buy a book, the cost comes from the student)

8- What will I need to bring to each lesson?

You will need a computer with internet connection (we recommend having a computer rather than a tablet or phone because we will use Google Docs in our lessons and it will be more complicated if you use those devices), you can have a notebook as well if you want to take your own notes and a book when needed.

9- How much homework should I expect?

Homework is completely optional but recommended. You can expect homework assignments to take around 1 hour per week. If the student would like to get more homework it would be provided by (name) without any extra charge.

10- What are the ways of payment?

Through bank transfer or via our website.

11- How are the cultural programs designed?

We tailor cultural programs for each student. We help students to find a place to stay in the country they choose, as well as different cultural activities and we put in contact with schools in those countries.

You can email us to get further information.

12- Do I get any discount if I bring someone with me?

Yes! You and the other person will get a 10% off the course price for coming together.

13- Do I get a refund if I cancel my private lesson?

If you do it with more than 24 hours, yes

14- Why should I learn Spanish?

  • Because more than half a billion people worldwide speak Spanish and is one of the easiest second languages to learn.
  • After English, Spanish is the most widely spoken language.
  • Just to enjoy learning a new language, thus, a new culture and being able to communicate with more people around the globe. To understand other people and cultures.
  • If you’re dreaming of escaping the daily grind and travelling or working in Latin America or Spain, then you’ll need to speak Spanish.
  • Meet new and interesting like-minded people.
  • It’s been proven that learning a second language exercises your brain in the same way going to the gym exercises your body.
  • In this highly competitive world, any extra skills that you can bring to your job will be appreciated by employers.
  • To understand songs, movies and books without subtitles, dictionaries or somebody who can translate you.
